Amatomu, the South African hub for Ama-blog buddies
I recently joined up with Amatomu, and so far I’ve found it to be the best place yet to meet other South African bloggers.
The South African blogging community is still quite small compared to the rest of the world, but I’m proud to say that we also have some great bloggers, and we even have a few blogging celebrities!
Here are some of the new blog friends I met, and other blogs I like to read, that you will find listed with Amatomu:
- Riaan Oosthuysen, an attorney who lives in Pretoria. Riaan often posts good chunks of wisdom by Os Hillman, and also likes to jibber jabber about silly things like driving skills, and the poor service offered by our cellular providers.
- Elize, who runs a website for woman dealing with infertility challenges, and blogs about her own journey in trying to conceive.
- The Car Blog, where petrol-heads like me can read all about the latest news in the car industry.
- coda.co.za, the website of Damien du Toit, who is my favorite South African web-designer, and somewhat of a web/blogging celebrity. I drew a lot of inspiration for my own designs from Damien’s great work.
So what are you what are you waiting for? Go check out Amatomu now!!

fwiw Amatomu is also great for giving some local traffic to your website. Heck i found this post while browsing on Amatomu.
be sure to sign up with Afrigator.com – somewhat of an Amatomu rival, although bit smaller scale but still a nice african flavour

Yup, I’ve signed up with Afrigator too. But I still prefer Amatomu!

Hi Francois,
Thanks for mentioning me! I love reading your blog, and Amatomu is a great way to promote your blog. I second Naeem about Afrigator but I also prefer Amatomu.
