I am sure that is a great feeling. Congrats, Nate. I work with Jamie so I read your blog often just don't get a chance to respond. I would love for my family to be debt free. We just recently bought a house (we settled for small, affordable) but never the less we have a house payment. I stuggle with decisions on just what to give up. I grew up having very little and always hearing "no" we can't afford that so I have a hard time constantly saying that to my children. My parents were paycheck to paycheck kind of people and I guess I inherited that. I pay for my son to go to the YMCA to swim and work out he also want to get into karate, dance for both girls and piano for my oldest daughter. I am on the rode a lot with work and transporting children from here to there. I take them to school and pick them up because I don't feel the bus in our area would be very safe. With gas price between $3.69-4.00 per gallon it is gettin pretty expensive. Groceries for a family our size is outrageous and we can't go without eating (no one in the family is obese or anything). We have cut our eating out, movies and other entertainment. The childcare industry is not a job with great pay or benefits other than just seeing the children learn and grow. I am in the process of getting a p/t job at night and on weekends but now I feel like I am missing out of my children's lives. I guess I going to feel bad no matter what I do. I feel sure that I could do more but can't seem to stick with a plan. Suggestions??
