Financial Freedom Quick Tip #37: Integrity and Spanners

A fortune can be made from being dishonest. But there is a curse that goes with it.Solomon, The Preacher (Prov 20:21)

Money is a tool. Like a spanner.

Your integrity, however, defines what you think of yourself. If you are dishonest, you think you are a dishonest person. How can you think anything else? If you accept a bribe, you think you are someone who can be bought.

Never sacrifice your integrity and self-worth, for money. Not even in small things that people often do, like submitting a false insurance claim, cheating on your taxes, or not repaying a loan to a friend.

Sacrificing your integrity is like auctioning off your virginity, for a set of spanners.

If you become financially free, but you do so dishonestly, your money will be a curse to you.

It will haunt you for a very long time, it will steal your joy and happiness, it may even break you completely.

No amount of money is worth being dishonest for, or doing something that goes against what you believe.

Never sacrifice your integrity and self-worth, for money. This comment is so true, money is not the be all but it is something unfortunately we all need in order to survive, but it shouldn’t change you as a person and who you are.
