Financial Freedom Quick Tip #5: Act Your Wage
Act your wage. Don’t be immature and insist on having things you cannot afford.
Make plans, sacrifice, work hard, save up and wait for the good things to come in their own time.
Remember, in the end, life is not about stuff. You cannot take it with you when you go, but you can leave a living hell behind you for those you love.
I got today’s Financial Freedom Quick Tip from Nate David Scott. He’s a dad who’s taken up the challenge to be debt free. At the time of writing this post, he has only 92 days left, and then he’ll be free from debt! You can find out more about Nate and his journey to being debt free on his blog.

ugh! I wish everybody could listen and really hear that. I have a friend, God bless her, that just has to have the best of everything. Everytime I hear her say, “I don’t have any money,” I just want to scream! She never hears that statement from me – that money isn’t everything and you don’t have to have everything in the world. When I say “you can’t take it with you,” she just says “I know, I know.” It may sound crazy, but my husband and I are happier when things are tight, financially. It makes me appreicate what I have more, it makes me appreciate him more, and I am feel closer to God. I have to rely on Him more in those situations – which teaches me that I should rely on Him more – period.
Great tip!

i am against credit cards. credit cards are bad. very, very bad.
i don’t shop either. that is when you spend money you don’t need to spend. instead of buying a new shirt you could feed a village.
