Give someone a Christmas
I just read a post by my friend Nate David Scott, where he shared this excellent idea, that shows how you can choose to use your financial-freedom, to show God’s love to someone else, by giving generously.
I’d like to find a family in real need that cannot afford Christmas (from a tree and decorations to presents and a meal), and give them a Christmas. We would let the parents know (in this case, I can picture it being a single mom) and we would come in on Christmas Eve, after the kids have gone to bed. We would get the tree and presents all set up for the morning. On Christmas day we would come back with a warm meal and celebrate the gift of Christ together. The smiles on the family’s faces would be enough of a gift for me.
I certainly have an idea for Christmas!!
Nate David Scott is a dad of four, with a fifth on the way, who’s taken up the challenge to be debt free. At the time of writing this post, he has only 62 days left, and then he’ll be free from debt! You can find out more about Nate and his journey to being debt free on his blog.
