How can a Blog help me to become Financially Free?
There are several ways in which a blog can help you, and other people, to get out of debt and become financially free.
Don’t know what financial freedom is, or how to get there? Perhaps you should read this first: How to become Financially Free.
Blogging is not for everyone, but if you’re the type of person who likes to engage in social networking, you may want to consider taking up The Liberta Financial Freedom Challenge.
The table below lists some of the ways in which your blog can help you to become financially free, if you decide to accept the challenge.
| Description | |
|---|---|
| Planning |
To become financially free, you need to make a plan to get there! If you’re going to blog about your plan, you first need to create it. Assess your financial situation, do some thinking and create a financial freedom plan for yourself. Then share it on your blog. You may just get some feedback, that will help you make it better! |
| Accountability |
If you keep your goals secret, you are much less likely to reach them. There is power in telling other people about your intentions. If you tell people what you plan to do, and you give updates about your progress as you go along, you will be more motivated to stick to your plan, and reach your goals. |
| Anonymity |
You can be as anonymous or as open about your true identity as you want. If you blog anonymously, this gives you the freedom to publicly share details about your finances, and get help and advice from other people, without anyone having to know who you really are. |
| Support Network |
Liberta will link back to anyone who accepts the The Liberta Financial Freedom Challenge, as long as your blog does not go against the Vision and Mission of Liberta. The idea is to create a support network of people who can encourage, motivate and learn from each other, because they are working towards the same goal. |
| Help Others |
Your blog will not only help you to reach financial freedom, it will also help other people. If you reach your goals, and you blog about it as you go along, your blog will tell the story of how you did it. Other people can share and read this story, and also apply the clever things you did to their own lives. |

@Pereca
No, it’s not possible for anyone to become financially free through blogging.
Firstly, because blogging is not for everyone. It will frustrate some people endlessly.
And secondly, because the challenge is simply about using your blog to share your experience, and thereby getting and giving support from and to other people.
The blog is just a way for you to document your plans and actions, and have a support network.
The real work is in the real world.
This is how to become financially free, whether you blog about it or not:
