- Nate David Scott
Nate is a husband and father of four, with a fifth on the way. Nate started his journey with a lot of debt when he took up the challenge just over a year ago. Nate achieved his first goal just a while ago – he is completely debt free! His life is a tremendous inspiration to many others who also want to get out of debt; go check out his blog now! - Paid it Down
Sharon, a wife and mother of four children, is looking to live simply, retire with dignity and have a little fun along the way. I’ve been following her blog for a while now and trust me, she’s managing all of that just fine (especially the “fun” part)! - On A Quest To Be Debt Free
Anna is on a mission is to help families make a transition, from living life in debt, to learning to live on less than they earn. Her blog is filled with great tips and advice, and you can believe what she says, because she’s writing from experience! Anna has already made this transition in her own life. - Ready to Change
Here is a single mom, who is ready for change! She has just started out on her journey to financial freedom. Check out her blog – she is sharing her goals and plans for how she’s going to do it! While you’re there, why don’t you take some time to admire her blog and encourage her by leaving a comment? You may just make a friend, to help you on your own journey. - Nuustak
- Frugal Babe
Frugal Babe and her husband live in an American suburb with their baby boy, a dog, and a cat. They even have a white picket fence! They quit their corporate jobs several years ago in order to start their own insurance agency. In the early years of being self-employed, they incurred about $40,000 in debt, which they finished paying off in 2007! They’re now focused on paying off their mortgage and saving for retirement, along with several smaller short-term goals. - the financial wellness project
FWP accrued a large amount of debt throughout college and her early twenties. Now, about 10 years later, she’s decided that she’s tired of being stuck in debt and owned by money, and that it’s time to take charge and become financially independent! This blog is about FWP’s personal financial wellness project – her journey out of debt and to financial freedom. - Money Churner
T-luck is 32 years old and lives in Malaysia!! After facing some personal financial challenges, he decided to make a change in his life and started increasing his knowledge of business and financial management by reading magazines, books, blogs and even attending classes. T-luck uses his blog to share his personal experiences and the wisdoms he learns along the way. Pay him a visit and see what he has to say – it’s good stuff!! - IT Pilgrim
IT Pilgrim has quite a remarkable story. She started out with a massive amount of debt and a dead-end-minimum-wage job, but instead of joining her fellow dead-end-minimum-wage-job colleagues at the weekly lottery queue, she bought herself a couple of books about IT and spent her free time improving her knowledge about computers. Fast-forward a few years later and the pilgrim herself in the high-tech high-pay high-stress world of being an IT consultant. The catch? Like so many others in the same profession, she hates every moment of it. Now IT Pilgrim decided to take a different route by taking on the challenge to pay off her debts and become financially free, so she can spend her time doing the things she loves instead of doing the things that pay well. Check out her blog! Now!! - A Fool and His Money
Tanner is a 24-year old guy who managed to acquire $15,000 worth of debt during his student years. Since he has make the decision to get out of the debt trap that engulfs so many others for most of their adult life, I actually disagree with his blog title – he is anything but a fool – considering he is only 24 years old. He is taking a well planned and calculated approach to making his plan a reality and writes all about it on his blog. It’s well worth checking out.
- Re@PeR
The Re@PeR (Jan Vladimir Mostert) is on a mission to “…push beyond the boundaries of what is thought to be humanly possible…”. As part of this mission, he decided to take on the The Liberta Financial Freedom Challenge. He not only accepted the challenge, he also decided that he will attempt to be the best at it. This is a young man who has and is making the right financial decisions at an early stage in his life. Watch and learn.

This is a great idea. The Scott family is an amazing inspiration. I’ve been doing the debt free thing for 1 year. We’ve had numerous road blocks, but things are looking great.
I’m starting a job in Sept. that will allow us to cover our decreasing commission checks (RV industry) & put away our 3-6 months emergency fund in a very short time!!

I’m a very new and inexperienced blogger, but I am thrilled at the idea of spreading the message of financial freedom through the Financial Freedom Challenge!

Count me in! We paid off our non-mortgage debt a year ago. Our focus is now a combination of paying off the mortgage as quickly as we can, but also saving for our son’s education, saving for solar panels, saving for a car that we will need someday when the ones we have go to car heaven, saving for retirement, and stashing money in our HSA for future medical bills (and hopefully retirement money, since we’d rather just stay healthy). It’s still a juggling act, just like when we were in debt, but I much prefer deciding which savings account to fund, rather than deciding which debt to focus on.

Francois,
Baie dankie.
I would just like to say that I am using a new blog for the Challenge. The address is http://myfinans.blat.co.za
I will be doing posts in both Afrikaans and English.
Dit het net te veel geword vir my eie blog om alles daarop te probeer hanteer.
Thanks again.
