My friend is in the Hospital

A friend that I love very much is in the hospital. She became very ill over the last two weeks, and was admitted to the hospital on Sunday afternoon.
The doctors are still trying to figure out what is wrong. They’re doing a lot of tests, and hopefully we’ll know soon.
She is young, very fit, leads a healthy lifestyle, and she has a heart after God. It doesn’t seem right for her to be ill, or to be where she is now.
Please pray for her.

My prayers are definitely going up for her right now. I hope for answers soon. I know waiting is one of the hardest things on a person, especially when you are facing the unknown. God is the Great Physician on whom she can lean. He will care and comfort her…

@Jamie & Robin:
Thank-you so much for praying. Robin, you are right, the uncertainty and the waiting SUCKS!!
I’m seeing her again later this afternoon, and hopefully we’ll know a little more.

Francois, ask – no DEMAND the the doc tests for Staphylococcus aureus. This disease is very curable, but it must be caught early. It requires medication and bed rest, but she will be fine very soon if the docs react fast. God bless you both and baie sterkte, seun. Ons bid vir jou!

@Jamie
Thank-you so much Jamie. I’ll post if I have any updates.
We got some tests back today, but they were inconclusive. She may have to undergo a small procedure tomorrow, under local anesthetic, where they take some tissue from inside her lungs with a long needle.
Then some more waiting for the test results…

@ Barry and Francois – Nicholas grows Staphylococcus aureus in his lungs all the time. This is what he is in the hospital for when he is sick – that and psuedomonas. Staph never completely goes away. It lays dormant, so you have to be really careful. The good news is, is that they have some great and effective antibiotics to take care of it.
Still praying Francois. I hope she is feeling better and that you guys have some answers soon!
