According to research recently completed at the University of Michigan, a single bout of exercise helps obese individuals boost their body’s fat-burning rate and improve their metabolic health. By exercising to increase their ability to burn fat and store fat as triglycerides in muscle, which is beneficial, people reduce their insulin resistance and their likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes.

There are good benefits to exercising early in the morning: It gives your metabolism a bit of a kick-start You are more likely to stick with it (90% of people who exercise regularly do so in the morning) It’s over and done with for the rest of the day, so you can relax after work You will feel revitalized and energized, research shows people think more clearly for about 6 hours after exercise, so you will be super-smart at work and impress everyone with your intellectual and physical prowess You get to see the sun rise It can be tough to get out of bed at first, but your body adapts and gets used to waking up at a certain time, so it will get easier.

Hold it and hold it, and hold it… Generally you would start by holding it 10 seconds x 3 sets, as you improve, hold it for up to a minute or longer x 3 sets.

When people first start exercising, especially when they join a health club, you will find that their goals are often similar: Women: to lose weight and ‘tone’ Men: to build strength and gain muscle Then we have the men spending most of their time on the abdominal machines and doing bench presses, and the women head over to the the hip machines.

One of the things I recommend to many people who want to become financially free, is to adopt a healthy lifestyle, cancel their comprehensive medical-aid or health insurance, and instead take out a good hospital plan, that provides full cover, but only for health issues that require hospitalization.
