The secret to Financial Freedom

I’m feeling particularly generous today, so I’ll share the rigorously guarded secret to achieving financial freedom.
Spend less than you earn.
I’m sorry if this sounds too simple, but as with many other things in life, the truth is often less complicated than we think.
It doesn’t matter how old you are, where you live, what job you do, how big your house is, whether you rent or buy, what neighborhood you grew up in, what church you go to, whether you’re religious or not, how many children you have, whether you have a degree or not, or even finished school, how much money you earn per month, whether you’re working for yourself or someone else, what car you drive, what friends you hang out with, whether you’re good with math or not, whether you’re popular or not, or anything else like that – it simply doesn’t matter.
The truth is: If you spend less money than you earn, you are on your way to financial freedom, and if you keep it up, you will eventually get there.
The secret to attaining Financial Freedom Quickly
Since I’m feeling so extremely generous today, I’ll share another rigorously guarded secret: how to attain financial freedom quickly.
Spend a lot less than you earn.
Believe Google… Yeah, whatever.
Just for my own amusement I Googled “The secret to Financial Freedom”. No wonder people are confused. It’s a pity Google’s indexing algorithm cannot filter out hogwash.
The secret to financial freedom is not to join a pyramid or network marketing scheme, or to try the latest work-from-home business, it’s not hidden in any get-rich-quick too-good-to-be-true investment offers (99% of them are too good to be true), and it is certainly not to play the lotto or to start gambling.
To become financially free takes a decision, a lot of learning, planning, sacrifices (initially), and the dedication to stick to your plans. It usually also takes at least a few years.
