Wisdom Strawberry #5: Your Designer
If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself.
The journey of life is like crossing Africa, with a Land Rover.
To trust in yourself is like refusing to acknowledge that your Land Rover was designed and built by the Land Rover company.
This attitude cuts you off from the supplier of spare parts for your Land Rover. You’re going to break down somewhere and when you do, you’re going to be stuck and on your own.
In the same way that your Land Rover was designed and built by the Land Rover company, you were designed and built by God.
Everything you’re capable of doing – all your talents – were given to you and built into you by God.
Don’t be conceited, sure of your own wisdom. Instead, trust and reverence the Lord.
To trust in the Lord, is like entering into an agreement with the Land Rover company.
You agree to honor them publicly throughout your journey and to submit all your travel plans to them for approval.
In return the Land Rover company – the expert – provides you with advice to help you along your journey and supplies you with spare parts when your Land Rover breaks down.
Honor the Lord with your life, submit your plans to Him and trust Him in everything you do. It will bring you favor, success and a good reputation.

Hallo Francois.
Sjoe ek was lank laas hier. Ons stadkerk “city church” het ‘n konferensie en was ek vir ‘n week nie op kantoor nie. Daarna het ek bietjie rondgehardloop om die opgehoopte werk op te vang en dan is daar natuurlik nog al die hofsake en goete tussenin wat gedoen moet word en ook die kliënt wat maar op hulle manier druk kan toepas.
Maar dit is goed om weer hier te kuier. Ek hou van hierdie inskrywing.
God sê ook in sy Woord dat ons Hom nie kan behaag as ons nie geloof het nie. En dit is wat ons moet hê, geloof om te glo dat God met ons is in elke situasie of dit nou vir ons voel of dit so is of nie.
