Another example of the wonderful gifts that God blesses us with are the friends He gives to us.

On our own, we are weak and vulnerable. But with friends around us we can achieve great things that we would never be able to do alone!

One standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer; three is even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.Solomon, The Preacher (Eccl 4:12)

Help and True Friends

Sometimes we think that our problems are ours alone and that we are inconveniencing other people when we ask for their help.

However, when you ask someone for help, as long as you do so with a humble spirit – not believing that you deserve to be helped – you are honoring that person.

In the same way, be generous in helping other people. If someone asks for your help – and they do so with a humble spirit – be quick to help them.

When a friend asks for your help in this way, they are honoring you. They are telling you that you have the ability to help them and that they appreciate your friendship.

A true friend will honor and respect you – and be willing to help you – in the same way.

Pick your friends carefully. And value them. They are gifts from God.
